Diving and Snorkeling Day Trip

The day trip brings Guests to the Island of Koh Rong Samloem and Koh Koun where we have around 20 dive and snorkel sites.

The trip starts in the morning at 6.30 am wrom the White Boutique Hotel. The Dive Shop tuk-tuk brings you down to the harbor where   the Dive Boat is already waiting for you. The transfer time to Koh Rong Samloem Island is around 2 hours which gives you time for a small breakfast and a short nap on the boat.

When The Dive Shop Boat arrives on the Island, all diving and snorkeling equipment for the day, is loaded onto the boat, after which we will travel to our first dive site.  The first dive/snorkeling takes place, which is roughly an hour, after which a vegetable curry will be served for lunch on the boat.  Whilst you enjoy the lunch, The Dive Shop Instructors gets everything ready for the second dive/snorkeling, which is roughly another hour.

The Dive Shop Boat will return to the Island after diving/snorkeling, around 3pm, when all the equipment will be offloaded and Guests staying over on the Island, get off. The Dive Shop Boats departs from the Island at 3h30pm to be back at The Dive Shop, Sihanoukville before it gets dark.

All trips includes breakfast on the way out to Koh Rong Samloem Island, which consists of fruit and some pastries, diving and snorkeling equipment, a Dive Instructor or Dive Master diving with divers,  and a guide for snorkeling, a vegetable curry for lunch and water, tea and coffee for refreshments as well as an open return ticket.

Non diving and snorkeling Guests wishing to stay over on Koh Rong Samloem Island, are welcome to book a boat transfer with us as well.

The area around Koh Rong Samloem is famous for critters and muck dives. We can find up to 7 different seahorse species, a large variety of nudibranches, pigmy octopuses as well as the normal tropical marine life such as barracudas, batfish, stingrays, clown-fish as well as swarms of snappers, fusiliers, mackerel and jacks.

The visibility in this area is usually an average of around 10m. Most of our dive sites in the area are between 8 to 16m of depth which allows us to stay at most of the dives up to one hour underwater.

Price list – Daytrips
2 dives USD 80
4 dives USD 160
6 dives USD 210
10 dives USD 300
Snorkeling USD 25

Price for Night & UV-Dive: For night dives, you would have to stay over-night on the island at Sunset Beach. We would charge $50 for a 'normal' night dive and $65 for a 'bio-fluorescent' dive. This might be interesting for experienced divers; we use special torches and light filters to be able to see a wavelength of light, which usually is not visible to the human eye.

We can book any day, but yes, it does differ from season and weather, Most of the diving depends on the weather. We keep a close eye on the weather, as safety is very important. It is always recommended to check for any diving with The Dive Shop office first, as we might be fully booked.
